DESCRIPTION
Resort wear, the stylish and comfortable clothing style, has its roots in the late 19th century. With the advent of the railway, it became possible to travel to holiday destinations that had previously been difficult to reach. Numerous grand hotels were built in picturesque locations and holidays became a status symbol. Light and comfortable clothing that was stylishly adapted to the relaxed life in elite resorts developed.
As early as the 1950s, there was a trend towards comfortable casual wear, and terry cloth was a popular material for casual and relaxed styles.
This resort shirt made of finely ribbed terry cloth combines a clear, cord-like structure with the characteristic softness and breathability of the looped fabric. It is perfect for summer, as the material is incredibly comfortable and its absorbent properties make it ideal for warm days or after swimming. Together with the relaxed Cuban collar, the resort shirt offers the ultimate feel-good factor.
Thanks to the full-length button placket with six logo buttons, versatile styling is possible. You can wear it casually open with a T-shirt underneath like an overshirt. Even when buttoned up, the retro shirt remains casual but looks much more dressed up.
Whether after swimming or for an aperitif - this resort shirt with its charming retro aesthetic conveys relaxed Amalfi vibes. The safest and most stylish partners are lightweight fabric trousers with matt surfaces made of cotton or linen in white or light, sandy tones. Navy looks smart, smart-casual and suitable for the city. Chino shorts in these colours and in soft qualities also fit very well; but please without cargo pockets.
