DESCRIPTION
In 1954, Coco Chanel first used bouclé to create a jacket, making fashion history with the "Little Black Jacket ." Thanks to its versatility and unique texture, bouclé quickly found its way into men's fashion.
The French term "bouclé" means "curl" or "loop" and describes the characteristic irregular appearance created by a special yarn. This consists of several twisted threads that form a crimped surface and give the impression of interlocking loops.
With this knitted polo shirt made from a light, soft bouclé cotton blend, TOM RIPLEY highlights the material's unique texture. The buttonless skipper collar with tippings underscores the sophisticated look in a sporty retro style. Knitted, elastic ribbed cuffs ensure a perfect fit without constricting the wearer . The cuff at the bottom hem is slightly wider to emphasize the polo shirt's nostalgic charm . The "French shoulder" is also a hallmark of the highest knitting craftsmanship.
The embroidery on the chest is a tribute to TOMS’s classic film from 1959 (“… forging signatures and spend on almost anyone .")
When it comes to choosing trousers, you can hardly go wrong with this versatile piece. Jeans work just as well for a casual outfit as chinos for a more elegant look. Paired with shorts or swim trunks, you can create an outfit for your next vacation.
