DESCRIPTION
Resort wear, the stylish and comfortable clothing style, has its roots in the late 19th century. With the advent of the railway, it became possible to travel to holiday destinations that had previously been difficult to reach. Numerous grand hotels sprang up in picturesque locations, and holidays became a status symbol. Light and comfortable clothing developed, stylishly tailored to the relaxed lifestyle in these elite resorts.
The light, airy cotton blend of this resort shirt guarantees a pleasantly dry feel and provides welcome freshness, especially on warm days. The relaxed fit also ensures good air circulation. The vertical Costeria stripe creates a deliberately relaxed look and visually elongates the silhouette. Subtly irregular yarn textures underscore the authentic, handcrafted character of this shirt.
The notched lapel is typical of resort wear and adds a casually sophisticated touch, reminiscent of Mediterranean holidays. The full button placket with five logo buttons allows for versatile styling – from casually open to elegantly closed. The slightly rounded hem appears softer and more relaxed than a straight hem, and when worn untucked, it creates a flowing, relaxed silhouette.
Whether after a swim or for an aperitivo, this resort shirt with its charming retro aesthetic evokes relaxed Amalfi vibes. You can wear it buttoned up directly against your skin or open over a T-shirt. Pair it with linen trousers, lightweight chinos, or Bermuda shorts—this resort shirt is a versatile companion for sophisticated poolside-to-dinner looks. Looking for a co-ord set? Then TOM recommends the STEFANO resort shorts.
