In the early 19th century, it was mainly worn by fishermen and sailors to protect themselves from harsh weather conditions at sea. In the early 20th century, the simple everyday sweater evolved into a fashion item. A significant contributor to this was the British actor Sir Noël Coward, who wore a turtleneck in 1924 as a substitute for a shirt and tie. Initially for comfort, he unconsciously set a new trend and made the garment a symbol of male elegance.

MATERIAL & CARE INSTRUCTIONS
45% new wool (merino), 25% viscose, 20% polyamide, 10% wool (cashmere)
Hand wash or turn inside out and wash on wool cycle at 30° C with similar colors or separately. Pull into shape while damp before drying. Dry flat. Iron at low temperature.
