DESCRIPTION
The Breton stripe originated in France. Fishermen in Brittany wore striped shirts as workwear on the high seas. If one of them went overboard, they could be found more easily in the water. In the 19th century, the French Navy adopted the distinctive pattern, whose clear stripes symbolize discipline and tradition. In Italy, this stripe design was reinterpreted and emotionally charged: away from uniform and function, towards Dolce Vita, art, and Mediterranean nonchalance, the Amalfi, Riviera, or Mediterranean stripe was born.
TOM RIPLEY puts even more "Coastal Ease" into his interpretation of this design classic. Thanks to an elaborate knitting process, the strict symmetry gives way to irregular stripe widths - light and rhythmic like the sea surf. This garment was made from fairly produced, organically grown cotton and dyed using a particularly environmentally friendly finishing technique.

With white or dark blue chino, fabric, or linen trousers, you will definitely make the perfect choice. However, avoid additional patterns, as the focus should be on the top.

MATERIAL & CARE INSTRUCTIONS
100% combed cotton
Turn inside out and wash on a wool wash program at 30° C with similar colors or separately. Pull into shape when damp before drying. Dry flat. Iron on a low setting.
